At E MINA OBJECTS, each piece begins as an idea. A balance of functionality and beauty, brought to life through a considered design and making process.

We design every piece in-house and work closely with skilled producers in Italy and Turkey, regions with a long tradition of stone craftsmanship.

Production takes place close to the material itself and within regions known for their expertise in architectural stonework.

By working near the source of the stone and avoiding unnecessary long-distance transport, we reduce the movement of heavy raw materials across continents. This approach preserves traditional know-how, supports local workshops, and allows us to work more responsibly with natural stone.

1. Design Inspiration

The process starts with inspiration drawn from architecture, nature, and the inherent qualities of marble and travertine. Emina’s architectural background shapes each design, with a focus on clear geometry, balanced proportions, and material honesty. Every piece is sketched and refined with care to ensure it brings together function and a calm, sculptural presence.

2. Prototyping and Refinement

Once a design is defined, prototypes are produced to evaluate proportions, weight, and how the piece works in real spaces. This stage is essential for both smaller objects and larger table pieces. Refinements often follow, adjusting details until the design feels resolved. This iterative process ensures that each piece performs well in everyday use while maintaining visual clarity.

3. Selecting the Perfect Material

We work with a curated selection of premium marble and travertine sourced from established quarries. Each block is chosen for its structure, veining, and surface character. Natural variation is embraced, ensuring that no two finished pieces are identical and that each carries the inherent character of the stone.

4. Precision Crafting

Our production process combines modern technology with traditional stoneworking expertise. CNC machining is used to cut and shape the stone with high precision, an essential step for achieving consistent geometry, especially in architectural pieces such as tables. This precision allows us to work efficiently while respecting the integrity of the material.

5. Hand-Finishing

After machining, every piece is finished by hand. Stoneworkers hone, polish, and refine surfaces to enhance the depth and texture of the stone. This final stage defines the character of each piece, ensuring it is refined, tactile, and suited for everyday use.

6. Quality Assurance

Before leaving the workshop, each piece undergoes careful inspection. Proportions, surface finish, and structural integrity are checked against our standards. Only pieces that meet these criteria become part of the E MINA OBJECTS collection.
